POSTPONED St Edward’s Way Pilgrimage Friday 27 – Sunday 29 March

A 30 mile pilgrimage from Wareham to Shaftesbury Abbey led by the Bishop of Sherborne to celebrate Shaftesbury Abbey’s SAVED project and museum redevelopment is POSTPONED

The pilgrimage follows the route that the body of St Edward the Martyr was taken from Wareham to Shaftesbury Abbey in AD979.
Dates will be rearranged in the future.

St Edward’s Way route maps

The route maps for the walk days are publicly available online. They can be accessed here:

https://osmaps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/route/4416028/St-Edwards-Way-Day-1

https://osmaps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/route/4416171/St-Edwards-Way-Day-2

https://osmaps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/route/4416247/St-Edwards-Way-Day-3

If walkers have an account with Ordnance Survey then the route can be displayed (and printed) on the 1:25000 (Explorer) scale map. Additionally the routes (and maps) can be downloaded to the OSMaps app on a smartphone and followed while you are walking.

I’ve sent copies of the printed versions via WeTransfer, see https://we.tl/t-jzZxlomlKQ,

If walkers don’t have an account this will display on the ‘Standard’ map, which has a good level of detail (in many cases better than the 1:25000 map) and can be used to mark the route on a printed map.
